We are seeking a creative, highly organized Junior Social Media Manager to join our internal team based in Cape Town. In this role, you will own the digital presence of our platform—building brand awareness, engaging with our online community, and promoting our upcoming educational workshops and Cape Town information days.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Scheduling & Distribution: Manage and execute our weekly social media content calendar across all primary platforms, ensuring all posts, updates, and announcements are published on time.
Community Engagement: Monitor our social media channels daily, responding to comments, answering direct messages politely, and guiding users toward our informational resources and events.
Event & Workshop Promotion: Coordinate digital campaigns to drive awareness and registrations for our upcoming informational workshops and physical Cape Town networking events.
Digital Asset Management: Organize and maintain our cloud-based library of visual assets, templates, and participant testimonials to ensure the brand stays polished and consistent.
Basic Performance Tracking: Maintain simple monthly tracking sheets (Excel/Google Sheets) to monitor follower growth, engagement rates, and event registration sources.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Social Media Experience: Proven experience managing business pages, content scheduling, or community engagement (experience within hospitality, tourism, or events is a major plus).
Platform Literacy: Deep understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, along with modern scheduling and design tools (like Canva).
Brand Alignment: A sharp eye for aesthetics, with the ability to maintain a clean, polished visual identity fitting for a premium international hospitality platform.
Professional Communication: Flawless written English skills with a warm, professional, and helpful tone for public community management.
Location: Must be based in the Cape Town region to capture content at our local events and information days when required.
